Cryptids Cares

Cryptids Cares is a youth-focused mental health campaign that brings West Virginia's legendary cryptids to life through colorful cartoon illustrations. Supported by Federal award number 15JCOPS-24-GG-02558-PPSE, awarded to the City of Bluefield by the U.S. Department of Justice, this unique initiative uses local folklore to make mental health conversation more approachable for young people. Through engaging games, resources, and educational materials, Cryptids Cares helps raise awareness and encourage kids to care for their mental well-being with a little help from some mythical friends.
